Follow these fitness communities for new workouts, virtual classes and amazing playlists
Jumping into a new workout routine can seem daunting at first, especially if you are starting the journey on your own.
However, it can be much easier when you exercise with others. This way, you can hold each other accountable, encourage one another and even partake in a bit of healthy competition.
These benefits, along with fab fitness routines, are what fuel companies like Crossfit to gain such massive followings. And lucky for us, they are posting workouts online for people to do at home.
Here are four US cult fitness accounts to follow on Instagram for workout inspo:
Barry’s call themselves “the OG fit family” and it’s easy to see why. Started in 1998 by Barry Jay, it started as a HIIT interval training class in LA, and has since grown exponentially to become a global sensation.
They recently launched the Virtual Red Room, which allows people to book online Bodyweight, Bands, Weights and traditional Barry’s Treadmill & Weights classes.
This beat bumpin’ yoga studio offers yoga classes by candlelight. Since Covid-19 restrictions, they have started focusing on online workouts, sharing live flows, playlists and more on Instagram.
Tune in to their IG live on #HipHopWednesdays and #HipHopSundays to follow along a 50-minute WeFlowHard vinyasa flow session.
Said to have started the US spin craze, SoulCycle has a massive following. They’ve curated quite the virtual lineup for cycle heads as well, streaming spin classes, bodyweight workouts, motivational talks and breathwork sessions on their Instagram Live.
See above post for this week’s full schedule.
