Anne Frank’s story is by now so well known, yet the details still astound; the fear and the claustrophobia in the secret Annex, different shades of human behaviour and endurance all captured so eloquently by a girl who was just 15 at the time of her death in Bergen-Belsen. Her family life quickly became a nightmare as she and her loved ones endured the hellish circumstances of deportation and it’s impossible for her words to have anything but a profound effect on the reader. Here, Helen Mirren retraces Anne Frank’s life through the pages of her diary in this affecting documentary.

A travel show with Zac Efron? You’d better believe this will make for good TV. The actor journeys around the world with wellness expert Darin Olien in search of healthy, sustainable ways to live. The two visit France, Puerto Rico, Iceland, London, Costa Rica, Lima, Sardinia and Iquitos to discover what it means to make a difference in sustainability. “We are travelling around the world to find some new perspectives on some very old problems,” Efron says in the trailer. “Food, water and energy are all the main staples for modern life. We’re going to meet some top eco-innovators to see how change is an inside job.”

Based on the acclaimed graphic novel by Greg Rucka and directed by Gina Prince-Bythewood, The Old Guard is a gritty, grounded, and action-packed.

One for all foodie fans, from the creators of Chef’s Table, the hit series Street Food returns for a new culinary adventure. The newest instalment will travel to six countries in Latin America and explore the vibrant street food culture of Oaxaca, Mexico; Salvador, Brazil; Buenos Aires, Argentina; Lima, Peru; Bogota, Colombia; and La Paz, Bolivia. Each episode highlights the stories of perseverance and culture that bring life to each country’s cuisine.

Documentary examining the difficulties that young adults on the autistic spectrum experience in the world of dating. We hear and see so much of those on reality tv-centric shows who struggle to find love even without any obvious challenges, that it consistently feels like those of us who don’t fit the ‘norm’ are forgotten about. This series provides an eye-opening look into a side of the dating game that few have to think about.
