Our Insta-loving social media manager has found five standout activewear brands to follow (and shop) on Instagram
It’s no secret to anyone who knows me that I’ve become somewhat of a fitness fanatic. Somewhat being the operative word here. In the past two years, I’ve found my inner Sporty Spice when I never knew she existed. I’ve got big into all things Pilates, boxing and spin. That’s right — spin. And I genuinely enjoy it. Who knew that was even possible?
One of the best things about becoming a ‘gym person’ is activewear. If I could, I would choose to wear a fun pair of leggings over anything else in my wardrobe. They’re just so ridiculously comfy.
With a habit of trawling through Instagram (mostly for work, mind you), I’ve discovered five activewear brands that are definitely worth the hype. They are…
Without a doubt, The Upside has become my favourite go-to brand for printed leggings. Not only do I wear the Aussie label to the gym but I also adore pairing their leggings with oversized knits for cosy days at home or when I’m out running errands.
I’m probably really late to the PE NATION party, but I have become obsessed with their urban, slick style. I have to confess that I don’t own anything from this brand yet – but they’re definitely on my Christmas wish list.
The LA brand ONZIE said it best when they declared: “Yoga pants. Because jeans are stressful, and you don’t need that in your life.” Definitely my kind of vibe.
I mean, who hasn’t seen this tie-dye dream set on Instagram? Spotted on everyone from Oprah to Amanda Seyfried, I am in love with the activewear label, Tory Sport.
Dharma Bums is another Aussie label that ticks all the boxes (they sure know how to do printed activewear). I spotted the sustainable brand on Instagram and, like a magpie to all things conscious, I immediately proceeded to ‘add to basket’.
