Tali Lennox-Fruchtmann, the daughter of legendary singer Annie Lennox, was involved in a serious kayaking accident on Saturday, on the Hudson River in upstate New York, reports have said.
According to US Weekly, 22-year-old Lennox-Fruchtmann, and her boyfriend, Ian Jones, were on the river near the Staatsburgh State Historic Site when they capsized.
Lennox has been rescued, but her boyfriend is still missing, and feared dead, according to a police source. The couple got into difficulty near the town of Sattsburg in New York at 10am on Saturday according to the Duchess County Sherriff’s Office. Lennox’s daughter was was rescued by a passing boat after the pair became separated in the water, but rescue services are still looking for her boyfriend, who was not wearing a life jacket.
According to police alcohol ?could have been a factor in the crash,? but this hasn’t been officially confirmed. Neither kayaker was wearing a life vest at the time of the accident. Search teams combed the area on Saturday until 10 p.m. and resumed looking at 7:30 a.m. this morning.
Tali was not injured in the accident. The search for Ian continues. “At this point the incident does not appear to be criminal in nature and no foul play is suspected,” a statement said.?
