Are you a Comic Con fan (or know someone who is)?

Whether you’re a fan or have a wee fan in the family you’re still shopping for, tickets for this year’s Dublin Comic Con, taking place in the Convention Centre March 9-10, have recently gone on sale, and the line-up is already looking pretty sweet, with Guardians of the Galaxy star Pom Klementieff (pictured), James Marsters (Buffy the Vampire Slayer) and Michael Cudlitz (The Walking Dead) already confirmed, with more to be announced.

Never been to Comic Con? Here’s what to expect: 20,000 guests across the weekend, many dressed as their favourite comic book or film characters, from Wonder Woman to Chewbacca. There will be meet and greets and signings galore, plus interactive sets and displays, workshops, gaming zones, a cosplay village (Comic Con veterans will know all about this!) and competitions, and a traders’ hall where you can shop the best merch as well as collectors’ edition comics, games and vintage figures.

If you’ve yet to sort that “surprise” gift for the kids, or you have no idea what to get that comic-loving niece, nephew or godchild, this may just provide the perfect solution. (And we think time together makes a far better present than another piece of plastic!)

General admission, €20; family passes, €50. For additional ticket options and information, or to book tickets, go to www.dublincomiccon.com.
