Richard Madden, whose last major movie role was Prince Charming in Kenneth Branagh’s Cinderella, displayed a lack of solidarity with fellow actress Cara Delevingne when he described her reactions during an infamous live interview as “unprofessional” and “ungrateful”.

The interview in question was with two anchors on morning show Good Day Sacramento. After an awkward start where the presenters implied Cara hadn’t read the source novel of Paper Towns, the indie movie released last month and her major cinematic duet, things descended to even more farcical levels. The actress was told she perhaps needed a nap, referring perhaps to a?Vogue profile which mocked the then-model sleeping in for an interview.

Madden’s comments were published in the Sunday Times last weekend and have been swaying back-and-forth in the internet’s atmosphere these past few days. At the time, most people were on Cara’s side. The interviewers were immediately rude to a young woman who had made time for them during a busy press tour. Richard Madden, a Scottish actor with an ever-growing resum? which includes HBO’s Game of Thrones, declaring Cara to be unprofessional felt like a snub on her provenance, which has seen the young woman move on from the runway to major film roles with relative ease from an outsider’s perspective.

Cara took to Twitter to call him out for badmouthing her:

Everyone is fine now though. Richard apologised and Cara accepted his tweet graciously, with an ?x? and all.
