It seems you can always count on Irish actor Colin Farrell to bring a few fairly Irish traditions with him while he’s on set. He is currently starring in the second season of True Detective, and his co-star, Rachel McAdams (who we love) was only too happy to speak about how well the pair got on as they were filming.
According to The Inquisitr, Farrell introduced McAdams to what we feel is the most Irish thing ever, a nice cup of tea. And yes, we know plenty of others asides from the Irish love tea, but we think it’s a safe enough bet to say it’s a firm favourite over here.
McAdams said that she enjoyed working on the set because of her ‘delightful? co-star.

?Working with Colin was a delight. He would come to my trailer for a chat and a cup of tea every day. We got really into chocolate coconut chips,? she said. ?Hear that? A cup of tea every day. He’s a man after our own hearts is Colin. We love a grand cup of tea here at IMAGE (it helps you live longer too), and if it’s good enough for Colin and Rachel, it’s darn well good enough for us. And chocolate coconut chips sound amazing.
Farrell’s charm was obviously infectious on set, as the Castleknock native is also said to be ?great mates? with his male co-star Vince Vaughn, who is said to ?love and adore? Farrell. We don’t have word yet if Vaughn was treated to the delight that is an Irish cuppa, but we can only assume so.

However, McAdams was quick to point out that life on set wasn’t all cups of tea and chocolate chips, as she revealed a particular scene was so intense to film, that was was very sick afterwards. She admitted she once threw up while filming an intense shoot-out scene.
“That one took about five days,” McAdams said. “That was pretty intense. I actually puked during that scene.? We wonder did a cup of tea settle her stomach? “It was really fun though. I like action. I like being thrust into that,” she added.
Farrell is back in the spotlight thanks to his leading role in the popular HBO series, and said that the show is the biggest thing he’s done in his career so far.
