Ed Sheeran to Play Croke Park

Yesterday we found out that Ed Sheeran actually has a girlfriend and she has the cutest Instagram, and today it was announced that the singer is playing Croke Park this Summer.

For weeks now rumours have been circulating that the English singer was going to add a Dublin date, so fans are pretty chuffed. The singer told Ryan Tubridy on 2FM this morning that he’ll be playing the iconic venue Friday July 24th and tickets go on sale next Thursday from 9am.

In the interview, to which you can have a listen above, the English singer is nothing but excited about the concert, telling Ryan he’s heard ?amazing things? about Croke Park. *coughs* GARTH BROOKS? *coughs* Here’s hoping the powers that be don’t see fit to meddle with Ed Sheeran’s dates after last summer’s saga which saw country singer Garth Brooks cancel all his planned concerts at the Drumcondra stadium.

The Dublin gig will apparently be the final date in Sheeran’s tour, with three dates in London’s Wembley preceding Croke Park. Don’t you feel very special, Dublin?

We’re just going to rewatch Ed’s Late Late Toy Show appearance while refreshing the Ticketmaster page for the next seven days.

Will you be buying tickets?
