The debut SS16 collection from The People’s Emporium?consists of “homewares for the people, by the people”…
Self-confessed homeware addicts Laura Fearnall and Claire Hamer-Stubbs teamed up to found new online store The People’s Emporium out of a desire to provide easy access to ethically produced contemporary homewares.
A PR mogul and sustainable sourcing manager for ASOS respectively, they came together?to create a stylish line of products that could be easily traced back to their makers – a task they refer to as “changing the face of the sustainable revolution”.
The process of turning their passion into a business was achieved with the help of former Habitat UK senior designer Rebecca Hoyes. An?experienced textile designer, Rebecca?has created a beautiful SS16 collection of hand-finished pottery, tea towels, linens, cushions and throws in a spring-perfect palette of luscious corals, marvellous mints and dusky pinks.
Passing through?the hands of’makers from Britain, Europe and Africa, each unique’design has been realised in exquisite’detail.
