The EPA Digital Media Awards 2020 recognise creativity and innovation across multiple areas of an ever-evolving sector which includes digital content creation, advertising and marketing, mobile media, social networking, app development, web design and development.

IMAGE Media has been shortlisted in three categories at the 2020 Digital Media Awards.

The multimedia company, which produces IMAGE Magazine, Image Interiors & Living Magazine, image.ie, CARA Magazine as well as dozens of events every year, is being honoured for its multiple cross-platform campaigns executed in 2019.

IMAGE Media is shortlisted twice in the Best Collaborative Campaign category for its IMAGE Media, with Mindshare x Dove #ShowUs campaign, and its IMAGE Media x Samsung The Pitch campaign.

IMAGE Media is also shortlisted for Best Brand.

And IMAGE Media’s InstaStory Club campaign, in partnership with An Post, sponsor of the Irish Book Awards, is shortlisted in the Best Native Campaign category via Core Media Agency.

IMAGE Media, with Mindshare x Dove #ShowUs was a 360° campaign that aimed to expand the definition of beauty at a local level. Aligned with the global Dove #ShowUs campaign, which aims to show diverse, unfiltered depictions of self-defined beauty, IMAGE delivered engaging, shareable, inspiring content across events, digital, print and social.

IMAGE Media x Samsung The Pitch 2020 was another 360° campaign across print, digital, social and video. This campaign culminated in a live event that married both brand values of IMAGE and Samsung, and awarded a small Irish business €100,000 worth of Samsung technology. Athleisure lifestyle brand Gym+Coffee was the 2020 winner of The Pitch.

The An Post InstaStory Club, in partnership with IMAGE, was a digital-only branded partnership with An Post, sponsor of the Irish Book Awards. Our InstaStory Club, an interactive video series that ran across IMAGE’s Instagram Stories, proved a huge success in promoting brand awareness and reaching a specific target audience for our client. Ireland’s leading authors such as Emilie Pine, Eoin Colfer and Caitriona Perry took part – testament that the IMAGE and An Post brands are trusted sources for high-profile talent.

IMAGE’s Creative Content Studio designed and built a set for the InstaStory Club. IMAGE’s events team also ran a live InstaStory Club featuring cookbook authors James Kavanagh and William Murray, non-fiction writer Stefanie Preissner and fiction writers Paul Howard and Sophie White inside the historically significant GPO building.

Over the last 44 years IMAGE has responded to the rapidly changing media landscape with vigour and maintained its position as Ireland’s premier destination for smart, switched-on, stylish women. IMAGE is now home to three magazines, image.ie, a podcast, an engaging social media presence, as well as our bespoke events.

In the last year, IMAGE rebranded to IMAGE Media to better reflect how we’re embracing digital and the broad landscape that we cover. IMAGE established a digital-first strategy by investing in digital teams to ensure image.ie and imageinteriors.ie are competing players in the field, while always staying relevant to its core audience.

The second major part of this strategy was to invest in a Creative Content Studio, which is where IMAGE oversees its branded partnerships. Working with premium clients like Samsung, L’Oréal, Dove, Kildare Village and An Post, IMAGE partners with brands directly by operating as both creative agency and platform through its dedicated team of Client Services Managers, Branded Content Editor, Creative Director, Chief Revenue Officer and a growing branded partnerships sales team.

IMAGE’s objectives are clear: to provide our readers of smart, switched-on, stylish women with content that will inform, enrich, and entertain, while also delivering for our clients.

IMAGE Media CEO Clodagh Edwards said, “IMAGE Media now translates 44 years of premium media publishing across our native advertising, branded content, events and strategic partnerships space, creating valuable products for our clients. To have our move from a traditional print publishing house to what IMAGE Media is today – a full 360°, multi-channel publisher – recognised by the EPA Digital Media Awards, is a phenomenal honour. We are proud to stand side by side with other Irish legacy brands, and to be competing with newer brands in the digital sphere.”
The 2020 Digital Media Awards, sponsored by EPA, take place on Friday, February 21, at the Clayton Hotel, Burlington Road.
