Social Pics: “Making Your Mark” Networking Breakfast

The first our of IMAGE Networking Breakfast series took place on Friday in The Marker Hotel, on Friday, February 2nd, themed Making Your Mark!

Our contributing editor Melanie Morris opened the morning, whilst Tanya Clarke, General Manager of Diageo Reserve Europe, was first to take to the podium: “I believe that making your mark is knowing what your about & knowing yourself as a person – be open to the twists and turns and remember to be generous with your time”

“Remember to be yourself; self-confidence & self-belief is the perfect start to make your mark in the world”

Helen Turkington (interior designer and entrepreneur) was next to speak:

“Make sure whatever you do you do your best at it & you will excel every day! Balance is tough but it’s the key to a successful and happy life. Hard work pays off – stick to what you believe in and what you love. Don’t be afraid to listen to your gut and most importantly – surround yourself with people you trust and love”

Leeanne Rose O’Morain, Career Psychologist and founder of Arete Psychology and Coaching – told us about her journey from working in large corporate institutions such as, Apple, Deustche Bank and  DEPFA bank was where she got her inspiration to return to college, complete a psychology degree and set her own company Arete Psychology and Coaching.

“Remember to set yourself a time frame to achieve your goals – visualise what it is you want to achieve & most of all…take risks in life”

The morning was finished on a high as one lucky attendee walked away with an overnight stay and dinner in The Tannery guesthouse in Waterford, with thanks to Ireland’s Bluebook. They will also drive down to Waterford in style in a sleek new Mazda MX-5, with thanks to Mazda Ireland.

Everyone left the morning feeling uplifted, inspired and well-fed. All attendees received a fabulous gift bag with treats from Paperblanks, Max Benjamin, Rituals and Green & Blacks.
