This week we’ve been rather optimistically pinning some immaculate kitchens …
Although?we’d much rather be watching The Great British Bake Off, there’s something strangely satisfying about getting stuck into a top-to-bottom kitchen clean every now and again. So?we’ve been getting motivated to do just that by ogling these preposterously well-kept kitchens on Pinterest.
It all started with this calm, uncluttered kitchen as seen on?Remodelista, designed by Daniel Lee and photographed by Rory Gardiner. The fresh’design was based on’the Dinesen flooring, with wood also being used for the backsplash. The result is a cohesive and spectacularly spick-and-span space that we’d love to hang out in.
The sparse yet balanced design of this modern industrial kitchen is clean?without being clinical, with the wall art adding interest and the wood flooring introducing some much-needed warmth. I love the steel surfaces and Hikari lights.
A neat kitchen with floors you could eat off, featured as part of a tour of?The Ultimate Granny Flat in The New York Times, finished us off. This one confirmed once and for all that less is more when it comes to kitchens, and solidified our resolve to tackle our own kitchen excesses.
