Irish brand My Shining Armour is the answer to chic and easy Christmas gifting

Soft, elegant faux-fur collars to jazz up any party attire, year-long planners to help you become your own CEO, a smart and sophisticated phone case to reflect your personality, gadgets to help improve your motivation at work, gifts for your best friend’s wedding and decadent, Christmas-ready jewellery. This is just a small preview of Irish-owned online retailer My Shining Armour‘s extensive repertoire.

Armed with a laptop and plenty of self-belief, Kilkenny-native Nicki Hoyne established her accessories, homewares and stationery store five years ago from the safety of her kitchen table. The idea for a business that catered for quirky gifts and feminine accessories stemmed from her own affinity with them and with entrepreneurialism in her DNA, Nicki identified an online gap and leapt at the opportunity. With a background in branding and market expertise, Nicki already had the perfect foundation to build and develop the brand into what it is today.

My Shining Armour boasts stock from both Irish and international labels including Milk Tooth LDN, a London based brand who have mastered the art of statement earrings with standout colours and daring (lightweight) silhouettes, popular desk and office accessories by the late Kate Spade of New York, beautiful faux fur scarfs, bandanas and hats by UK designer Helen Moore, hand-made sunglasses from Australian brand Quay Australia as well as a curated selection of homeware that adds the finishing touch to your home. It’s stocking brands like these, and sourcing new, of-the-minute labels, that propels MSA to the forefront.

Should you need another reason to visit My Shining Armour, a quick scroll of the brand’s Instagram should offer an overview of the brands fresh, female-centred aesthetic. Owner Nicki regularly posts updates with new stock, giveaways and visual inspiration.
