For such a public royal family, Kate Middleton and Prince William are very much sharers; any occasion which means we get a chance to glimpse into the lives of them and their three children, they allow us in.
The Duchess of Cambridge is an avid photographer for one thing; many a milestone moment she has captured and allowed to be shared on social media.

It does mean that the British public (and indeed, royal fans worldwide), feel included in the royals goings-on with every tidbit of information or photo released. To this end, the Duchess of Cambridge has revealed something new about her youngest son Prince Louis – and it’s especially sweet.
Kate tells Mary Berry that “Mary” was one of Prince Louis’ first words.

Kate told the story to the former Bake Off presenter in a BBC Christmas special, which airs on Monday evening.
During the programme, Berry helps the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge prepare food for a royal event held to thank all those working and volunteering over the festive period.
She said 19-month-old Prince Louis, was “fascinated by faces” and would say “that’s Mary Berry” when he saw her on cookbooks in the family’s kitchen.

“One of Louis’ first words was ‘Mary’ because right at his height are all my cooking books in the kitchen bookshelf…And children are really fascinated by faces, and your faces are all over your cooking books and he would say ‘That’s Mary Berry’…so he would definitely recognise you if he saw you today,” she said.

While speaking about the special with Mail on Sunday’s You Magazine, Berry observed the genuine closeness of the couple, describing them as a “pigeon couple.”
“It was just lovely observing [Will and Kate] for those three days. When they are together, he’s constantly touching her arm and looking over at her smiling and she’s the same with him. It was very sweet to see because it was so natural.”
The one-off show sees William and Kate join Berry in the kitchen to cook some of her favourite Christmas recipes as she helps prepare food for a royal event, held to thank all those working and volunteering over the festive period.
The programme culminates in a Christmas party hosted by the royal couple, and will see former Bake Off champion Nadiya Hussain join proceedings.
A Berry Royal Christmas airs on December 16 at 8.30pm on BBC One
