Louis Tomlinson has been kept busy of late with the arrival of his firstborn son, Freddie.?He welcomed his pride and joy with his ex-girlfriend, LA-based stylist Briana Jungwirth just last month, and already a custody battle has begun.
According to TMZ, the One Direction singer had been planning to go to court to ask a judge “to formally establish paternity and give him access to Freddie” after things turned a little frosty between the former couple.
It had been alleged that Briana had “gotten greedy” and had been demanding further finances from Tomlinson, preventing him?from visiting Freddie?unless the singer gave into her demands.
However, it hasn’t turned too nasty, as the pair reportedly came to an agreement which will allow Louis to see Freddie for several hours at a time, but with no overnight visits yet. However, it is said to be just temporary while lawyers work to put something more permanent in place.
The 24-year-old singer has apparently?given Jungwirth a three-bedroom home in Calabasas, California, and’moved nearby in order to be closer to his son.
This news is a turn for the books as a source connected to the couple said prior to Freddie’s birth, things were all going smoothly between the two. ?Louis is happy and very excited about becoming a dad, and he thinks Briana will be an amazing mother. It was a surprise at first, but he and Briana are very, very close friends, and this has brought them even closer.?
He?flew back to the UK this week to attend the BRIT Awards in London and admitted it was hard being so far away from his little boy for the first time.
“I’m still getting used to it. It’s my first time away from him so I miss him, obviously, but it’s cool. I do get Father’s Day now.”
Hopefully this isn’t the start of a back-and-forth battle concerning the baby, as there is a beautiful child at the centre of it who?will inevitably suffer.
