Celebrating the Queen of Pop’s 60th birthday this week, Saturday night sees the Dublin club screen the iconic Desperately Seeking Susan, which, if for nothing else, is worth seeing for the 80s New York fashion alone. Sequin blazers and crimped hair aplenty.

Thousands of tattoo enthusiasts will descend on the Convention Centre this weekend to get the inside scoop on tattoo trends, new artists, ideas and tattoo culture, with some of the world’s biggest and best artists there to show off their wares. Even if you’re not in the market for some new tatts, it would still be one of the most interesting weekends of the year.
Featuring some of the UK and Ireland’s best chefs, the Big Grill festival is no ordinary BBQ. Celebrating its fifth year, the Big Grill is all about the art of smoke cooking, so if you’re a fan of all things meaty, craft beer-y and summery, head to Herbert Park every day til Sunday.
If Storm Ernesto holds off, it’ll be the perfect excuse to head to Marlay Park this weekend to catch some open-air movies with the family. If you’re a Dublin street art fan, chances are you’re familiar with Decoy’s work. The muralist will be hosting an exhibition at Lucky’s bar on Meath Street from next week, with the grand opening on Thursday. The exhibition deals with experimenting with colour, abstract shapes, and the ‘candylands’ we create on social media. Sounds right up our street.
