Netflix has shared a new teaser trailer for season three of Stranger Things, the multi-award winning series starring Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown.
The sci-fi horror show, which debuted in 2016, follows the supernatural goings-on in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana. When a young boy mysteriously disappears – and a young girl with psychokinetic powers arrives – the boy’s friends set out about finding the truth.

Season three carries on from where season two left off; with the show set in the mid-1980s. Sharing a teaser trailer on Twitter late Sunday night, the Stranger Things team said, “In the summer of 1985, the adventure continues…”

While the teaser trailer does not show any clips of the cast in action, it still manages to build suspense. With eerily dramatic music, it reveals eight new episode titles. They are: Suzie Do You Copy?; The Mall Rats; The Case of the Missing Lifeguard; The Sauna Test; The Source; The Birthday; The Bite; and The Battle of Starcourt.
Fans have already started to speculate about what these titles could mean. Questions such as, “whose birthday are they celebrating?” and “who was bitten, and more importantly, by what?” are flooding Twitter since the teaser was released.
Other clues
Series creators, the Duffer Brothers, have been keeping shtum about the finer details, but one thing is certain: the town’s new shopping mall plays a significant role in the show.
Not only do two of the episode titles correlate to the Starcourt mall (namely The Mall Rats and The Battle of Starcourt), but Netflix also released a mock TV advertisement for the shopping mall in July.
It’s expected the kids of Hawkins will spend their summertime in the shops – and in classic Stranger Things fashion, everything will go terribly awry…
The new season is expected to hit our small screens during the summer of 2019, though no specific release date has been confirmed.
Seasons one and two of Stranger Things are available to stream on Netflix now.
