Snuggle into the most divine bedrooms photographed in Image Interiors & Living in 2019

The Image Interiors & Living art director gets into nesting mode choosing the best bedroom inspiration that graced the 2019 issues of the magazine.

Looking through our issues of 2019, there is more than one bedroom that I wish I could call my own.

Choosing a favourite though is easier than most years, as I found my all-time favourite bedroom – the Flora Room in Lundies House, Scotland (in the November/December issue). It has wood panelling that covers the entire room, painted in a warm mushroom colour. The linen sheets in muted earthy colours have been dyed and washed ten times to soften before use. Heavenly!

The simplicity in this bedrooms is right up my alley. The bed, designed by Ilse Crawford, is one of Daniel Ulrich of Galway’s Coffeewerk + Press’ favourite pieces. The bed, softened with plump pillows and a beautiful textured throw from The Tweed Project, are dreamy. From the May/June issue

As a little girl, I always dreamed of having a four-poster bed. I love the more grown-up version of this oak four-poster bed from Benchmark, covered with layers of colourful throws from Johnstons of Elgin in Northern Scotland. From the March/April issue

Cool and calm colours makes this sleeping space a sanctuary. The wood panelling adds to the warmth of the room and I love the idea of making a big piece of art to be the centrepiece of a room. From the September/October issue

It was a close call for best bedroom between the Lundies bedroom and this charming one in Donnybrook. It sings of pure nostalgia with walls covered in reprints of William Morris wallpaper, muted green panelling juxtaposed with a sleek black and walnut custom-built wardrobe. From the November/December issue

And another bedroom in Lundies House makes our top of 2019 list. This Scottish guesthouse is well-worth a follow on Instagram if you’re looking for warm Nordic inspiration. I love the understated beauty of natural materials combined with contemporary lighting, and the pure simplicity of the room. From the November/December issue
