This week’s bridal muse is none other than the sultry stunner Catherine Zeta-Jones. The Welsh actress married actor Michael Douglas in the year 2000. The match was a media magnet, due to Douglas being 25 years her senior, but the couple remain presently strong, sixteen years after they tied the knot. Zeta-Jones’ bridal look is both aspirational and inspirational, in that it balanced the?natural and glamorous sides of bridal to perfection. We love it.

The bride was breathtaking?in every way, a picture of elegance and seemingly effortless?beauty. The Christian Lacroix dress, though extravagant in price tag and close-up detail, had an enthralling simplicity about it. The low-cut bodice, with its minimalist’sleeveless silhouette, fit the bride to perfection, enhancing her – admittedly incredible – figure, without overwhelming her or betraying a lack of modesty in any way.

Though the effect was classic bride, the detail employed in the overall piece is anything but simple. The dress was custom-made, with hand-beaded duchess satin, enhanced by the long’veil and Fred Leighton tiara. The silhouette was’mermaid style to the front, featuring a fishtail train to the back that reached a length of 6ft.

?Her beauty look consisted of a brown smokey eye, a soft red lip and rouged cheeks. The result was natural,?with a hint of glamour and the chosen colour palette was ideal for her beautiful complexion and skin tone. The Leighton tiara was a show-stopping piece and consequently, Zeta-Jones only wore two-stone drop earrings, as anything more would have been overkill.

I think anyone would agree that Catherine Zeta-Jones looked spectacular. The cost of her bridal?gown was beyond extravagant, but she embodied?that classic beauty that she is famed for. Every element?enhanced her features, without overwhelming, and the entire outfit and beauty choices were commendable in that the result is completely timeless.
