IMAGE Business Club members and friends generously support Aoibhneas
03rd Jan 2025
Over €10,000 in donations collected to support Aoibhneas, which supports women and children who have experienced domestic violence.
In early December IMAGE Media partnered with Tarasis Enterprises foundation iCare to support Irish charity Aoibhneas.
Founded in 1988, the organisation supports women and children who have experienced domestic violence, with a focus on protection and prevention. As CEO Emma Reidy explains, tackling domestic violence requires more than just emergency response and the organisation has developed this dual approach: immediate crisis response through refuge services and a helpline and a proactive community outreach programme that emphasises prevention. This makes the charity quite unique in Ireland.
“Our aim is to improve safety and respond to crises while also providing longer-term support to prevent these situations from occurring in the first place,” she says. This approach ensures a sustained positive impact on communities and generations.
At our annual Business Club Christmas celebration in December, we shared the Aoibhneas and iCare stories with our valued Business Club members. We reached out to this audience, who were celebrating their business journeys in 2024, to support the women and children residing in Aoibhneas safe accommodation to those who have accessed the Aoibhneas support and outreach services this year
IMAGE Business Club members responded with incredible generosity, gifting vouchers for their own businesses, beautiful products and monetary donations.
Friends and partners of IMAGE, such as Meaghers Pharmacy, Cocoa Brown, BPerfect, Publicity Loft and Food Story PR, as well as very popular vouchers from Penneys and Smyths Toys also generously supported this campaign.
