Peaches Geldof

It’s with huge sadness that the world came to hear of the untimely passing of Peaches Geldof earlier today at the age of 25. She was found earlier today in her house in Kent, but the cause of death is yet unknown. She leaves behind her two babies, 23-month-old Astala and 11-month-old Phaedra, and her husband Tom Cohen, as well as her Geldof family. The death is a shock to all. Since marrying in 2012 and giving birth to her two children, Peaches has devoted herself to her young family mainly, ?aside from appearances on This Morning ITV show. Parenting had become Peaches? calling, and she was opinionated and outspoken about it, as well as a hands-on mother.

Bob Geldof released a statement earlier today on behalf of the Geldof family to express their deep sorrow at the news.

?Peaches has died. We are beyond pain. She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us. Writing ?was? destroys me afresh. What a beautiful child. How is this possible that we will not see her again? How is that bearable? We loved her and will cherish her forever. How sad that sentence is. Tom and her sons Astala and Phaedra will always belong in our family, fractured so often, but never broken. Bob, Jeanne, Fifi, Pixie and Tiger Geldof.?

A prolific Tweeter, Peaches? last tweet from yesterday read simply ?Me and my mum? and showed a picture of her with her mother Paula Yates (pictured above). Paula too passed away when Peaches was only 11, at the age of 41. Like Peaches, she had been a dedicated mother in the months that preceded her death.

Our thoughts are with the family.
