Our favourite social media moments from last year’s Business of Beauty Awards
04th Mar 2019
With the IMAGE Business of Beauty Awards 2019 only days away, we are waiting in anticipation for two things in particular; the winners and the hilarious social media moments.
From toilet gossip to Tinder matches, last year’s ceremony was full of golden moments.
Hosts Darren Kennedy and Melanie Morris led the evening which recognised all things Irish beauty. There were stellar performances, Taylor Swift singing, tan-line showing and of course, celebrations from all of our wonderful winners.

Our social media elves spent the festivities trawling twitter for your best #ImageBOB18 moments last year and overheard some gems in The Clayton while they were at it.
We collected our favourites, so take a look below.
So get the hair done, the nails painted and put on your best dress because the biggest night of the year on the beauty calendar is nearly here!

But it wasn’t just us that were tweeting our favourite moments throughout the night. Guests and nominees took to the Twittersphere to let us know how pumped they were for BOB, and we loved reading them all:

We also had our very own Geraldine Carton stationed in the BOB bathrooms for our Powder Room Pow Wow, where we posed some questions to our unsuspecting guests while they waited to use the loo. Geraldine got some great info about makeup bag must-haves, the favourite moments of the night and more, but also gifted us with some amazing #OverheardAtBOB moments. Our personal favourites include:
- “Best moment of the night was definitely Paul Ryder’s performance! THIS IS THE GREATEST SHOW!”
- “Is MASER here? Because he’s a ride”
