Robert Downey Jr. electrifies one of literature’s most enduring characters in a vivid reimagining of the classic tale of the man who could talk to animals: Dolittle.

A special preview screening of Dolittle took place at the weekend at the Odeon Point Square.

The film stars Robert Downey Jr as the famed doctor and veterinarian who has the gift of being able to communicate with animals. After his wife’s death, he confines himself to his home until Queen Victoria falls ill and he is forced to set sail to a mythical island in search of a cure.

Pippa O’Connor, Triona McCarthy, Lorraine Keane and many more attended the preview screening with their families.

The film will be released in cinemas countrywide on February 1.
