The Savoy Cinema hosted a special Gala screening of the American Superhero film “Logan” this week which stars Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart ?Richard E Grant.?

The film is set in 2029. Mutants or very nearly gone. Despondent Logan is working as a driver for hire to pick up some cash while drinking his days away on a remote stretch of the Mexican border. His companions in exile are the outcast Caliban and? Professor X, whose mind is plagued by seizures which are slowley becoming worse.? Logan’s is trying to hide from the world and this comes to an end when a woman unknown to him arrives with an urgent request–that Logan gets a young girl to safety. Soon, the claws come out as Logan must face off against dark forces and a villain from his own past.

The film was well received by all in attendance on the night with many saying it is the best to date, Spotted gracing the red carpet at the Savoy on the night were Blathnaid Treacy who was enjoying some downtime in between her hectic filming schedule on Dancing with the Stars, Actor Kamil Krawczak, Lara McDermott, Radio presenters Luke O Faolainn,Sean Munsanje and Thomas Crosse, Dillon St Paul; who recently took part in the UK Apprentice, Red Rock’s Adam Weafer, 2fm’s Ruth Scott and Rob Morgan, Today presenter Phillip Cawley and his actor son Richard who is in the cast of The Vikings, Xpose’s Patrick Kavanagh as well as models Carl Shaaban and Joanne Northey.
