Social Pics: Irish Premiere Of Martin Scorsese’s Film ‘Silence’

The Irish premiere of Marten Scorsese’s latest cinematic blockbuster took place at The Savoy Cinema in Dublin last night.

Guests on the night included Love/Hate actor?Peter Coonan as well as members of the media and Scorsese fans.

Silence?is a 2016 American historical drama film directed by Martin Scorsese and written by Jay Cocks and Scorsese, based on the 1966 novel of the same name by Sh’saku End?. The film was shot entirely in Taipei, Taiwan, and stars Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver, Liam Neeson, Tadanobu Asano, and Ciar?n Hinds.?The film tells the story of? Two 17th-century missionaries (Andrew Garfield, Adam Driver) who face the ultimate test of faith when they travel to Japan to find their missing mentor (Liam Neeson).

Silence opens in cinemas across Ireland on January 1st, 2017.
