The Punnet Juice Detox

The Punnet Juice Detox

Our Ciara Cosgrove, head of distribution, had the determination to try out a three day juice diet after a particularly stressful week of binge eating and not looking after herself enough. Here’s her story:

For 3 days, I gave up all solid food and drinks, and instead drank five delicious bottles of The Punnet Health vegetable-only juices. I literally just drank juice and water all day- no coffee, no alcohol, nothing extra. But let me tell you, the juices are yummy. I knew this was the right thing to do to kick start my mind and body into healthy mode!

The veg only detox has three major differences from any other juice detox. Firstly, there’s no banana, apple, oranges or any other fruit included, so sugar levels are drastically reduced. Secondly, there are two shots of fresh wheatgrass included in the second juice- all other juice programs use powdered wheatgrass, which in my opinion doesn’t have much nutrition left in it. Thirdly, Chia seeds are used in the first juice, which is jam-packed with protein, fiber, and essential fatty acids to keep you full for longer.

The five flavors included in my detox were:

Morning Sunshine: Carrot, Chia Seeds, Beetroot, Ginger, Red Pepper, Avocado.

Wheatgrass Wonder: Two full shots of Wheatgrass, Cucumber, Lime, Celery, Avocado, Spinach.

Green Glasthule: Celery, Cucumber, Broccoli, Lime, Avocado. Kale.

Afternoon Boost: Cucumber, Carrot, Lemon, Yellow Pepper, Spirulina.

Dinner Delight: Carrot, Broccoli, Cucumber, Spirulina, Lime

The menu is a super potent concoction of antioxidants, digestive enzymes, minerals and vitamins designed with enough protein to keep to active for the day.

I felt amazing 90% of the time. I’m not going to lie, there were moments of temptation and weakness but when you push through and overcome them, you feel even better and stronger. On the final day, I felt refreshed, energetic, lighter, and as clich? as it may sound, way healthier. I didn’t weigh myself but I know I did lose weight & felt a lot trimmer in my clothes. If you are worried about being hungry, let me put those fears to rest- you will be so full! The portions are very large and very filling. The only things I really missed were something to chew and something?warm. It was definitely a change to only ‘drink? each day, and cold drinks at that.

Some of the 10 benefits of juicing??Rest to the stomach & liver. Rest and repair to the gut. Reduced appetite. Floods our body with super nutrition. Weight loss. Improve energy. Rehydrate the body
