3 for Tuesday: Facial sprays to keep at your desk (and why you shouldn’t overuse them)

Need something other than caffeine to liven up that mid-afternoon slump? Facial sprays are a great way to hit that refresh button and they really do moisturise and enliven your skin.

There’s nothing like a facial mist to wake you back up, refresh dried-out skin and give you a boost of hidden skincare as you get through your work day.

Between not leaving the house before work, central heating and other environmental stressors, your skin might benefit from a blast of cool every so often. Facial sprays have come so far, and they’re more than just cold water. Packed with hydrating properties and protective ingredients, they do a lot by just misting onto your skin.facial sprays

Facial sprays gone bad

Okay, they never really go ‘bad’ per se, but you can get caught up and, in a way, addicted to the moisture they give. If you find yourself spraying multiple times an hour, your skin might need something more heavy-duty, like a rich moisturiser, to give it the boost it needs.

Likewise, you could be in need of hydration from the inside — drinking a glass of water might help more. Overusing facial sprays can fool your skin into thinking it’s more hydrated than it is and can be counterintuitive, so always be aware of too much of a good thing.
