Transform your space with one of these 10 great rugs under €100

A rug is an easy way to freshen up any space in your home, so we’ve found 10 gorgeous ones that come with an affordable price tag.

Whether it’s a hallway that looks a little neglected or a bedroom that’s seen better days, after months spent at home, chances are you’ve spotted a space in your home that could do with a refresh.

Not necessarily a total change, but every so often it’s nice to add something new to a room as old accessories get worn or you just fancy something different. A rug is a great way to transform a space, as they immediately inject colour and texture. Here are 10 that we love that come in at under €100.

rugs under €100

At 150 x 200 cm, this rug is very large for such a low price. Made from cotton and printed with a beautifully faded design, it would make a great focus for a living room or bedroom. Block print rug, €99.99, Zara Home.

rugs under €100

Made from 75% wool, this rug is guaranteed to be hardwearing. Its woven design adds texture, while at 120 x 60 cm it will fit in a whole range of spaces, from beside a bed to a hallway. Tassel edged cotton rug, €45, Amara.

With its natural texture and decorative details, this jute rug will create a laid-back vibe in your space. Its diameter is 140cm, so it’s large enough to fill a space generously, without leaving too much space around it. Carolyn Donnelly Eclectic jute rug, €50, Dunnes Stores.

This Berber-style rug would fit into almost any space with its neutral colours and simple design. Made from cotton, it’s also machine washable, making it handy for busy families where spills are inevitable. White and grey rug 90 x 150 cm, €95, Industry & Co.

Runners are handy for adding warmth to a space like a hallway, and this woven design will inject a touch of colour, too. Made from cotton, it’s light enough to feel summery at this time of year, but will still add warmth in the winter. Sari brown cotton runner rug , 70 x 180 cm, €69.95, Meadows & Byrne.

This vintage-style design would look great in a neutral space without dominating, while the low-pile material means you can easily place furniture on top of it. Vonsbäk rug 170 x 230 cm, €65, Ikea.

For something a little different, try this curved design from Danish brand Hübsch. Made from recycled polyester, it’s an environmentally-friendly choice. Greenland rug, €99, Woo .Design.

With a pattern inspired by poppy fields, this rug has been dyed and screen-printed by hand, so each one will have unique irregularities. Its neutral tones mean it would be fit in with almost any existing colour scheme. Natural poppy rug 150cm x 90cm, €73, French Connection.

Jute is a great material for rugs: it’s hardwearing and has a gorgeous natural texture, but usually its natural brown shade is your only option. This one, however, comes in a dark green colour, and its large 140 x 200 cm size means it will fill a space well. Sturdy jute rug, €89.99, H&M.

Screen-printed by hand, this brightly coloured rug will inject some fun into any space. Made from cotton with a flat weave, it’s light, and so good for less cosy areas like kitchens. Habitat Octo rug 140 x 200 cm, €90, Argos.
