The Dublin Comic Arts Festival is all about shining a light on small press Irish comics and gives you the chance to meet and chat with the artists themselves. Great if you’re an aspiring artist yourself, but equally great if you’re just into art appreciation.

On Sunday: Experience Japanese culture at the 2018 Experience Japan Festival Day

Japan has such a rich culture with its food, fashion and history and this weekend, the Irish organization Experience Japan is holding a festival to celebrate it. Head to Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park on Sunday and enjoy traditional Japanese dance, performances, activities and food. Suitable for everybody in the family too!

Everyone loves a bit of sci-fi, and whether you’re into the classics or want to scope out the new talent, the Sci-Fi festival is an amazing event to head to next week. A €40 ticket gives you access to all of the screenings over the weekend at the Generator Hostel, including Irish shorts, anniversary screenings and more.
