Sometimes (well, let’s be honest – often), a lunch out with the girls is well overdue. Your schedules get in the way, work is mental and you haven’t caught up properly in months. Extensive planning is often needed, and be warned – there will be many, many cancellations before you all settle on a date. But once you do, you’ll all be asking “why don’t we do this more often?”

Glovers Alley is just the place for a girl’s lunch out. Elegant food with a French-inspired feel is served in luxurious surroundings at St. Stephen’s Green, with plenty of plush textures, warm lighting and a gorgeous colour palette.

Glovers Alley head chef Andy McFadden has curated a trailblazing team of chefs and sommeliers to bring lunch-goers some of the most impressive food in the city. Andy himself has trained under some of the best chefs in the world and was at one point the youngest Michelin star chef in London. He’s returned to Dublin to make his mark on an increasingly exciting food scene.

As we wind down the summer months, the lunch menu includes such delights as heirloom tomatoes with black olives and balsamic vinegar to start, to veal rump with beetroot, watercress and grape mustard for mains. The lunch menu’s desserts options are equally as exciting, with a choice of flavours of balm (rhubarb, strawberry, white chocolate or lemon) or a cheese board.

The best part? The lunch menu is available at just €35 for two courses, €45 for three courses, or, if you’re really looking for a treat, €60 for a six-course tasting of the Lunch Menu in full. While your catch-up chats will be the focus of the afternoon, the food will certainly give it a run for its money.
