We can only assume that having a beautiful fruit bowl means you eat mountains of fruit and become a picture of health, so here are our favourite picks.
In our pursuit of glowing skin and a spring in our step, we all know we should eat more fruit. And whatever your choice of fruit is: bananas, apples, kiwis, dragonfruit – chances are it should live in a fruit bowl.
“There’s apples in the fruit bowl”, I can almost hear my mother say to me as I rummage in the cupboard for (decidedly non-fruit-containing) snacks. Except I don’t actually own a fruit bowl, instead choosing to shove any fruit in the back of the fridge, where it’s often forgotten, and usually a little on the wrinkly side.
It, of course, makes more sense to keep your fruit in a bowl on the counter, but if, like me, this is something you just haven’t gotten around to ever buying, there’s plenty of lovely options out there (and who doesn’t love an excuse to buy a nice bowl?)

Wood is a classic option for a fruit bowl, and we love this acacia one from H&M. Its natural tones and texture will add a relaxed feel to your kitchen. As it’s not ceramic, it’s also a great option if you have kids – less chance of breakages, although there’s no guarantee they’ll actually eat the fruit inside. Large wooden bowl, €39.99, H&M.
