Kim Kardashian And Beyonc? No Longer Most Followed On Instagram

Who knew that in 2015 we’d measure the worth of talented women by the amount of people who scroll through their online photo albums? Was it for this? Anyway, Instagram, the modern coliseum of celebrity, has been unstable of late, with various power plays in the past few weeks seeing the coveted spot of ?Most Followed? shifting among a triumvirate of feminine icons.

For a long time Beyonc?, who recently celebrated her 34th birthday, was the most followed star on the social media platform. Then the Cleopatra of our times, Kim Kardashian stepped into the fold, her 45.4 million followers leaving Bey trailing in second place. And now there has been yet another whirlwind of change. No, Beyonc? didn’t swoop in again and demand what was lost. In fact, there is a new queen in town.

*drumroll*

Singer, songwriter, tweeter Taylor Swift has edged out Kim with more than 45.6 million followers, making hers the most followed account in the short history of the app.

How did she celebrate? With her cat. While Beyonc? excels at beautiful mystery and scenic shots, and Kim gives it her all with flawless selfies, Taylor knows that cats will always win the internet.
