Watch: Taylor Swift’s “Bad Blood” Music Video

The wait is finally over. Unless you’ve been living under a rock the last month, you know that the hotly anticipated new video from Taylor Swift, Bad Blood, has been released today and features so many stars it’s like the music video version of Valentine’s Day, which, coincidentally, also starred Taylor Swift.

Swift and her army of celebrity friends/co-stars have been sharing pictures of their alter egos on every social media platform for the last few weeks. Her besties Karlie Kloss, Lena Dunham, Ellie Goulding, Hailee Steinfeld, Gigi Hadid, Cara Delevigne, Selena Gomez, Lily Aldridge and Jessica Alba all star and the list of celebrity faces goes on. Even Kendrick Lamar has a cameo as Welvin Da Great.

With her 1989 album Swift has been all about female empowerment and the new video also features Ellen Pompeo and Mariska Hargitay whom Swift has praised for their portrayals of strong women, she even named her two cats after them.

Not that giving Christmas presents is a competition, but this year, my mom won.

Bad Blood is Swift’s fourth single from her first official foray into pop?1989 and the song is supposedly about pop-rival Katy Perry. Taylor herself confirmed in an interview with Rolling Stone that the song was about a fellow female singer who had been ‘mean? and had attempted to sabotage Swift’s arena tour. Some of her dancers left her tour to join Perry’s Prism tour and they’ve both dated John Mayer (we have no idea why). If the bad blood wasn’t already evident, Perry all but confirmed it in a tweet following the interview, saying ?Watch out for the Regina George in sheep’s clothing??.

While we do love Taylor, we’re suckers for a well-timed Mean Girls quote. But then Swift’s use of social media to drum up excitement for this video has been nothing short of a PR dream? Shall we just call it a draw?
