Diane Kruger may be a jury member of the 72nd annual Venice Film Festival, but in our opinion she’s already won the fashion?vote by a landslide.

Kruger, who frankly never puts a fashionable foot wrong, started out the day in a white and pearl Prada number for the Everest?premiere that opened the festival. With a cascading beaded cape and a simple chignon, Kruger looked enviably?chic.

It seems like most guests?got the ‘white’ memo (“Everest! Snow! I’ll wear something icy!”) with model Alessandra Ambrosio and Elizabeth Banks also opting for the pale shade. Banks’ Dolce & Gabbana number was almost as gorgeous as her fellow judge’s, with an adorable black-bowed open back with encrusted jewels. Honourable mention goes to Paz Vega in a stunning champagne beaded gown.

However it was Diane’s evening choice for the official dinner that thats the delicious red velvet biscuit. Granted, we have become a little obsessed with red ?(hello, Rachel McAdams in that FOXY pant suit) but?Kruger looks absolutely flawless in a?Cushnie et Ochs cut out jumpsuit. The woman is so sartorially confident that she could wear a hemp bag and pull it off. Given the choice, we’d?almost take her innate style savviness over her wardrobe. Actually no, we’d take Joshua Jackson first, then her wardrobe and then her natural elegance. Priorities.

Also at the festival are the stars of the?Everest?biopic, including the always-handsome Jake Gyllenhaal and his co-star Josh Brolin. Check out all the fashionable snaps from the first few days of the world’s oldest film festival.
