Christmas market season is upon us. A time when browsing is perfectly acceptable with a fill of mulled wine and mince pies. We’ve picked some of our favourite Irish pop-ups and markets from local businesses to make gift shopping a breeze…
1. Love & Robots Pop-Up in Arnotts: until 3?January 2017
Using cutting-edge technologies, Love & Robots?create bespoke pieces that are made-to-order and entirely personalised. In the Arnotts pop-up shop, you’ll find iPads that allow you to customise your piece.
2. Nordic Elements: 54 Booterstown Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin
Every Thursday & Friday 9:30 – 3PM & Saturday 10 – 4PM until 17?December 2016.
Along with their collection of stunning Christmas decorations, Nordic Elements will have a range of gifts selected from their Scandinavian suppliers including Ferm Living and Studio Arhoj.
3.?Makers and Brothers Pop-Up at 41 Dawson Street: until 24 December
Based in the old Bible shop on Dawson Street, Makers and Brothers?promise a peaceful escape laden with seasonal treats and moments of joy.?With a range from Aesop for gifts to stunning crockery pieces and wall art for the home, there’s plenty to peruse.
4.?April and the Bear Pop-Up in Thirty Four: 1?-?10?December
‘Greetings’ brass gift tag, €12
April and the Bear have teamed up with Thirty Four on Lennox Street to create an intimate, unique and fun space for their customers. In this alternative and peaceful space, you can pick up Christmas decor along with cool gifts and jewellery while enjoying a coffee and a rest from the hustle and bustle of the outside world.
5.?Etsy Dublin Friends & Family Market at The Chocolate Factory: 8?December
Wooden Christmas trees, €16.98, Lindsay Interiors
An opportunity to support talented local makers under the same roof and enjoy some mulled wine and mince pies too! A great opportunity for an evening out with friends!
6. Me&Him&You in The Westbury Mall: December 5th – 11th, 10 – 6pm daily.
As part of the launch of Design Ireland, Me&Him&You open their first over pop-up selling their City Screenprint range. Inspired by cities throughout the world, prices start at €15, and make for a special gift. The pop-up will also see live traditional screenprinting demonstrations take place throughout the week, by Me&Him&You founders Ronan Dillon and Peter O’Gara.
