10 fantastic Dublin eateries that are now open for takeaway

You can still get your fix of some of the best food in Dublin

We’re almost one week into our Level 3 restrictions here in the capital, and while we are committed to doing all that we can to slow the spread of Covid-19, it’s difficult to see our restaurants, cafés and bars be put under such immense pressure yet again.

Dublin’s food and drinks scene is the backbone of the city, providing us with backdrops to make memories and create the culture of the city that we all know and love. It’s saddening to see them close their doors again, but many have worked hard to pivot and be flexible, and we want to reward that with our support.

These ten restaurants around the city are firm favourites of ours, and probably of yours too. If you love the food and drink that these places dole out, consider ditching the home cooking this week, and getting a takeaway from them instead.

Cornucopia, Wicklow Street, Dublin 2

Delicious, fresh, healthy food is a staple at Cornucopia, and as it’s just off Grafton Street, it’s likely you’ve frequented it before. The restaurant is open on Saturdays and Sundays for takeaway and they deliver all over Dublin too.

Bujo, Sandymount Green, Dublin 4

You haven’t lived until you’ve had a burger from Bujo. During lockdown earlier this year, their home Burger Kits proved very popular for those looking for a burger fix from their own grill, but thankfully, Bujo is now open for takeaway to prevent any further BBQ disasters. Open seven days a week from 10am for click-and-collect in their Sandymount store, and you can still opt for the home kits nationwide.

Asador, Haddington Road, Dublin 4

If you’re serious about your BBQ food, Asador is the classiest joint in Dublin. They have some very limited outdoor seating options available at their restaurant on Haddington Road, but if you’ve got your own equipment, their at-home kit is one of the best on offer right now. Meat, buns, dips and sauces, and even some corn on the cob to accompany it all. Order from their website.

Glovers Alley, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2

This modern fine-dining establishment is a firm favourite here at IMAGE, and we’ve loved seeing their Glovers Alley at Home packages take off during the pandemic. The three-course meal kit is €45 per person, with step-by-step instructions on their Instagram page. Available to order on their website.

Junior’s Deli, Bath Avenue, Beggar’s Bush, Dublin 4

I’m not lying when I say some of the best sandwiches I’ve ever had in Dublin have been from Juniors, and we can luckily still stock up on them from their takeaway menu (and dinner too). Drop in for lunch, or place your order by phone before 5 pm for a slap-up evening meal.

Bang Restaurant, St. Stephen’s Green, Dublin 2

Smack bang in the centre of the city (see what we did there?) is some of the best steak, seafood and flavours in Dublin. Bang is offering both delivery and collection for the next three weeks, Wednesday through Saturday. Choose your meal on their website.

Daddy’s, South Circular Road, Rialto, Dublin 8

A firm favourite of the Instagram set around Dublin, Daddy’s in Rialto is one to tick off the list this weekend. Their breakfast menu is pure comfort food brilliance, and is available from 9 am, Wednesday to Saturday.

Etto, Merrion Row, Dublin 2

Etto on Merrion Row is another favourite amongst fine-dining lovers, and are now offering Click and Collect meals from Thursday to Saturday every week. Choose from weekly set menus, cheese boards, desserts and even a salami and nibbles board if you’re peckish.

Pi, George’s Street, Dublin 2

Pi is an institution for the city’s pizza lovers, and we were delighted to hear that they’re offering takeaway pizzas during the Level 3 restrictions. Open from 12 for collection.

Masa, Drury Street, Dublin 2

Like tacos? ? All tacos and drinks are €5 this Sunday. That’s just €2.50 per taco!

If it’s Mexican you’re after, Masa’s tacos and cocktails are to die for. They’re offering a collection service to be ordered online from their website.

Dash Burger

A newbie on the scene, Dash Burger is a pop-up based on Kevin Street that is home to Ireland’s first smash burger joint – aged Irish beef with all the American trimmings. They’re open for takeaway and deliver through Deliveroo if you’re based in the area. We can’t wait to try them out.
