If you’re looking for your first home, one of these three properties could be a good option, whether you’re looking in Kildare, Wexford, or Dublin.
We all know that high property prices make it particularly difficult for first-time buyers, having to save up more money than ever before to have even a hope of owning their own home.
There are, however, still some good options out there when looking for starter homes. For around €200,000 you can get a a decent-sized home with a few bedrooms, and maybe even a garden, depending on where you look. Here are three that have caught our eye.
5 Meadow Court, Hillside , Kilcullen, Kildare, €200,000
This two-bedroom townhouse is located on the outskirts of Kildare, and is just under an hour to Dublin. Inside, it’s bright and welcoming, and it has particularly stylish interiors and modern fittings throughout.
The kitchen and bathrooms have been recently renovated, and the floors are also new, meaning that any new buyer could move in straightaway, with no work required.
2 The Lough, Duncormick, Co. Wexford, €200,000
This two-bedroom house is located just 10 minutes from the south coast, and half an hour from Wexford town. It has recently been renovated, and so feels contemporary inside.
Although originally a three-bed house, the layout has been changed so there are now two spacious double bedrooms, while the attic has been part sheeted, ready for a potential conversion. There is also a large garden to the front and back of the house.
2 Cloonmore Avenue, Tallaght, Dublin 24, €200,000
This end of terrace home has three bedrooms, two bathrooms and a garage, which makes it particularly good value for Dublin. Inside, a new owner may wish to put their own stamp on the décor, but the home is in good condition.
A bright conservatory sits off the kitchen, while the rear garden is south facing. Just half an hour from the city centre, and close to plenty of shops and other amenities, it’s also well-located.
