Now that the 5km and county limit have finally been lifted, shops are reopening and there’s even talk of international travel kicking off from July, we’ve got itchy feet. If you’ve been watching too many reruns of Escape to the Country and are now considering a city exodus, there are plenty of gorgeous properties around the country. We’ve pulled out three in Co Kerry alone to choose from, all under €150,000.
They’re in varying states of upkeep, but they also have three bedrooms, so you have plenty of room to have guests over when we’re ready to welcome family and friends back into our homes.
This three-bed, one-bathroom detached farmhouse is located outside of Waterville on the picturesque Ring of Kerry.
With plenty of idyllic charm, the house includes a living room with an open fire, a dining room, kitchen, two double bedrooms and one single. It also has a sizeable enclosed garden and plenty of parking.
This surprisingly large period home in the village of Scartaglin has a lot in its favour, including grand proportions, bay windows and plenty of original features. A large entrance hall has a sitting room and living room off either side, as well as a kitchen, utility and guest bathroom.
Upstairs there are three bedrooms and a family bathroom, as well as a front south-facing garden and views over the countryside and the adjacent local church.
Another village location, this time in the Knocknagoshel not far from Abbeyfeale, this detached three-bedroom house has a living room and kitchen/diner with a stove and a useful utility.
There are two double bedrooms, one of them with an ensuite bathroom, a single bedroom and a family bathroom.
