Bulmers Secret Orchard Gigs
Friday 28 July
Bulmers’ next Secret Orchard gig will take place in Dolans, Limerick on 28 July, headlined by Le Boom, and having seen this now-four piece at Beyond the Pale earlier this summer, I can confidently assure you that this is a live show you won’t want to miss. Galway Arts Festival
Until Sunday 30 July
This multidisciplinary Galway International Arts Festival’s closing weekend programme includes Irish and international work of the highest quality, featuring theatre, music, visual arts, opera, street spectacle, dance, discussion and comedy. In 2022, over 600 performances took place in 32 venues over the course of 14 days, with an attendance in excess of 300,000, and some highlights of this coming weekend include All Tvvins, Bell X1, and Jenny Greene.
Live On The Harbour
Until Saturday 29 July
Live On The Harbour will be rolling into Dún Laoghaire Harbour for three whole nights of incredible music spanning three different genres of music, along with a whole lot of immense craic. Headliners across the weekend include the incredible Ibiza Orchestra, one of the UK’s most successful and influential rappers of all time Dizzee Rascal, and chart-topping artists such as Tinie Tempah and Jax Jones.
Samhradh Suppers
Saturday 29 July
Samhradh Suppers are a monthly series of immersive pop-up dinners celebrating the bountiful harvests of local producers, our innate connection to the land, and the bright bloom of summer evenings. Their second edition will be served in the octagon hall of The Common Knowledge Centre, and their talented chefs Ash and Sarah will be teaming up with St. Tola’s Farm in Clare, which Siobhán Ní Gháirbhith took the reins of in 1999.
Block Party Mural Event
Saturday 29 July
Atelier Now — supported by Kildare Village — are hosting a full day of live painting by 20 of Ireland’s leading street artists. Each artist has been invited to create a new mural for this special event. Expect a day bursting with colour, creativity and connection. There’ll be music from live DJ Willo Healy, and a food truck by Krewe on the day.
Cork Craft Month
Until Monday 31 July
Established in 2005, Cork Craft & Design brings together the very best of Cork’s unique and excellent Irish craft and design tradition. Across the weekend, there’s a broad range of events taking place that include stunning exhibitions, ‘Craft & Cuppa’ sessions, and workshops with experts of a myriad of disciplines.
