There’s only so many walks around the park you can take. Over the past year, we’ve been yearning for a proper staycation, imagining a rural getaway surrounded by greenery, fresh air and scenic vistas.
And with restrictions looking to ease this summer, we can finally start planning. Scratch that holiday itch by booking a fun getaway at one of these picturesque stays across the country.
Here are our favourite Airbnb finds to indulge your travel bug and treat yourself to the escape you’ve been longing for.
Tiny Blue House – Kinvara, Co Galway
This eco-friendly, tiny house strikes the perfect balance of green-thinking and modern luxuries. It’s kitted out with solar powered lighting, a wood-burning stove and insulation, and its skylight and many windows show off the gorgeous garden that surrounds it. Located on the edge of Kinvara, you can take a short stroll to the village, swim at the beach or explore The Burren.
Golden Cove – Sneem, Co Kerry
A part of Sneem Hotel, this three-bedroom, three-bathroom cabin is fitted with a stunning, stone fireplace, a full kitchen and beautifully designed interiors with seafront views. It’s a great place to stay if you plan on finally checking the Ring of Kerry off your bucket list.
