A beautifully restored period home in Wicklow for sale for €350,000

A beautifully restored period home in Wicklow for sale for €350,000

Fancy something with character and charm but minimal work? This beautiful home for sale in Wicklow could be for you

Located in the picturesque village of Coolboy in South Wicklow is this former teacher’s residence that has been recently renovated by its current owners. The four-bedroom house has some spectacular views and a large manicured garden, and who could turn down that gorgeous exterior and that price tag of €350,000?

Through the front door of this 123 square-metre home is the hall with a living to the left and right. The main living area on the left also has access to the rear garden via French doors and its own cast iron fireplace. To the right is another cosy nook, this time centred around a stove.

To the rear of the house in what looks like a recent extension to create an L-shaped home, is a large kitchen/diner, plus a utility room and bathroom. The modern cream kitchen is clearly the heart of the space while the utility offers direct access to the back garden.

Upstairs are four sizeable bedrooms as well as a hot press and a family bathroom. The principal double bedroom, located in the old part of the house, has its own ensuite, and there’s another large double bedroom to the rear. The final two bedrooms are slightly smaller but would make ideal guest or children’s bedrooms.

While the house has clearly been cared for, the owners have taken care to keep everything within the period character of the home with sash windows at the front and a barn-style door to the rear. It’s also got a C3 BER rating, relatively high for an older detached property.

Outside, the house is set on one acre of land with views of the rolling Wicklow hills as access to the amenities in Coolboy village.
