Cool people are hanging plates on their wall again: here are some options to try, no matter what your style

It seems everything comes back into fashion eventually.

The gallery wall has many fans, but if you’re looking for a different way to adorn your walls, stylish people have started displaying their plates as wall art.

It’s certainly not a new idea. You might associate it with your grandparents’ home, and the trend has come and gone since at least the Victorian era. Everything truly does come back into fashion eventually.

As well as allowing you to display favourite pieces that may not get used very often, hanging plates on your wall is also a great way to add pattern and colour to your space. And while traditional china might be the first thing that comes to mind, the look can be brought up to date in a number of ways, from the plates that you choose, to the style of the room where they’re hung.
