07th Sep 2020
Want to deepen your practice from the comfort of your own home? These online yoga events, hosted by Ireland’s best teachers, will bring calm, clarity and peace of mind
Surya Yoga: Solar themes and practices in the Ancient Yoga Tradition with MySatsang
Yoga teachers and wellness practitioners Tara O’Rourke and Kate O’ Brien recently launched MySatsang, a space for people to come together through authentic practices, inspirational teachings and mindful movement.
Their inaugural live Zoom session, taking place tomorrow, welcomes Michael McCann, one of Ireland’s most respected teachers of yoga philosophy and psychology, pranayama, mantra, meditation and subtle anatomy.
“All you need is to have an open heart and mind and to let your own inner wisdom shine forth,” is his mantra. During this inspiring session he will explore the Vedic tradition and Isha Upanishad — the roots of Surya Namaskar, the Gayatri Mantra as Vedic prayer and the Chakras as Seven Suns.
One for committed yogis, or those who want to recommit to a consistent practice.
Tuesday, September 8, from 10am-noon; tickets (€15) here.
Honouring The Practice Honouring The Self with Yoga Dublin
On Sunday, September 27, Manasi and Amy Charlie from Yoga Dublin are holding an evening of “mantra, movement and magic”.
Through the practice of yoga, philosophy, meditation and mantra, participants will give Dhanya-Vad (thanks) for the practice of yoga.
If yoga helped you cope with the ups and downs of lockdown, then this is the event for you.
From 5pm-7pm, tickets (€25) here.
Cultivate Unity Within
On Sunday, September 13, Aoife Kane of The Space Between is hosting a Forrest and Yin yoga shamanic gathering to encourage slowing down as we move towards the Autumn Equinox.
“In this time where we are asked now to slow down and begin to prepare for longer nights, can we begin to cultivate this internal relationship within so that we move with ease through the months ahead,” asks Aoife, who will be leading the workshop in studio (very limited spaces) and also online.
From 11.30am-1pm; tickets (€30 in studio / €20 online) here.
