From director Coralie Fargeat's The Substance starring Demi Moore and Margaret Qualley to a thriller starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney, here's our pick of the best in entertainment this week.

MONDAY

Black Widow, Sky Documentaries/NOW TV

A tale steeped in mystery and deception, Black Widow tells the story of how three male victims were deceived, defrauded, and abused by Dena Thompson before she was finally caught and sent to prison in 2003. Following Dena’s release in 2022, her victims, as well as the police officers involved in the case, have decided to tell their cautionary tale about one of the worst cases of abuse and coercive control by a woman in British history.

TUESDAY

Paint, Sky Cinema Premiere/NOW TV

Owen Wilson plays Carl Nargle, Vermont’s number one public television painter who is convinced he has it all: a signature perm, custom van, and fans hanging on his every stroke… until a younger, better artist steals everything (and everyone) Carl loves.

WEDNESDAY

Chris Ramsey: Live from London, Sky Comedy/NOW TV

Recorded at the iconic Royal Court Theatre in London, this stand-up special sees award-winning comedian Chris Ramsey hilariously lift the curtain on his domestic frustrations and flawed attempts to be a good parent, as well as reveal his total humiliation at home and behind the scenes on Strictly.

THURSDAY

A Very Royal Scandal, Prime Video

One night. One hour. One interview that sent shockwaves around the globe. Based on the real-life 2019 interview between Emily Maitlis (Ruth Wilson) and Prince Andrew (Michael Sheen) over the scandalous accusations he faced regarding his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein and Virginia Giuffre, A Very Royal Scandal follows the actions of Maitlis and Prince Andrew in the lead-up to the interview, the ground-breaking event itself and the many questions left in its wake that would change their lives forever.

FRIDAY

Wolfs, in cinemas nationwide

Global superstars George Clooney and Brad Pitt team up for the action comedy Wolfs. Clooney plays a professional fixer hired to cover up a high-profile crime, but when a second fixer (Pitt) shows up and the two ‘lone wolves’ are forced to work together, they find their night spiralling out of control in ways that neither one of them expected.

SATURDAY

His Three Daughters, Netflix

This tense, touching and funny portrait of family dynamics follows three estranged sisters as they converge in a New York apartment to care for their ailing father and try to mend their own broken relationship with one another.

SUNDAY

The Substance, in cinemas nationwide

Demi Moore gives a career-best performance as Elisabeth Sparkle, a former A-lister past her prime who is suddenly fired from her fitness TV show by repellent studio head Harvey (Dennis Quaid). She is then drawn to the opportunity presented by a mysterious new drug: The Substance. All it takes is one injection and she is reborn—temporarily—as the gorgeous, twentysomething Sue (Margaret Qualley). The only rule? Time needs to be split: exactly one week in one body, then one week in the other. No exceptions. A perfect balance. What could go wrong? Deliriously entertaining and ruthlessly satirical, Coralie Fargeat’s Cannes sensation turns toxic beauty culture inside out with a be-careful-what-you-wish-for fable for the ages.
