Well, The Doyle Collection’s flagship property has announced the refurbishment of two exclusive suite levels at the hotel. It has also revealed a reimagined suite named after hotel founder PV Doyle, who was an internationally regarded businessman and entrepreneur who opened his first hotel almost 70 years ago.
This considerable renovation includes 12 new Signature Suites and 2 Terrace Suites on the fifth and sixth floors, while The PV Doyle Suite, set on the sixth floor, has been entirely refurbished to embrace a new level of luxury.
The suite was previously known as the The Presidential Suite and was the room of choice for Heads of State, global politicos, captains of industry, sporting legends, musical icons and Hollywood’s finest – including the likes of Audrey Hepburn, Marlon Brando, Pavarotti, Pelé, David Bowie, Bob Dylan and more.
The reimagined suite now features a spacious master bedroom, living room and dining area alongside a fitness and wellbeing space. The suite can also be fully reconfigured to incorporate an additional three en-suite bedrooms. In addition to this, there is a dedicated concierge service, as well as massage therapists, facialists and personal trainers available on request.
For those who appreciate fabulous interiors, The Westbury has not held back in terms of style and class. Artwork from some of Ireland’s most celebrated artists adorn every wall and the design scheme of the suite was created around its centrepiece, a bespoke rug featuring mid-century motifs.
When a guest enters the suite, they will be greeted by Sol Y Sombra, a tapestry by internationally renowned 20th Century Irish artist, Louis le Brocquy. Then, in the living area, large windows fill the suite with natural light and reflect on the cut-mirror fronted and brass-lined cocktail bar which draws some of its design from the hotel’s ever popular cocktail bar, The Sidecar. Meanwhile, seating in the main sitting room surrounds an Angelo Mangiarotti sculptural marble table and, throughout the suite, guests will discover further artworks by Louis le Brocquy, Nano Reid, Tim Goulding, Patrick Scott, Michael Kane and le Brocquy’s widow, Anne Madden. All of this together, means art lovers are in for a truly spectacular hotel experience.
