From furniture to structure a space around to quick and easy updates, there’s plenty of great pieces to get excited about.

Ikea are perhaps best known for their classic products, so useful that you notice them in the homes of many people you know. But it’s also worth remembering that their seasonal ranges have a lot to offer, perfect for giving your home an update.

This year, the range includes products grouped into three themes: one inspired by global cultures, another focused on relaxation, and a third based around winter celebrations. Here are our top picks from each.

Global influences

Looking to cultures across the world for inspiration, this range blends influences to create a warm, organic look. Rosheen Forbes, commercial activity and events leader at Ikea, says: “Balmy tones and desert hues such as clay, ruby and burnt orange inspire dreams of distant landscapes, while earthy shades help us feel grounded and connected with nature.

“Inspiration for soft furnishings can be taken from Morocco, Turkey and Spain, with materials such as satin, velvet, alcantara and felt instilling a sense of richness.”

Refresh, renew and rejuvenate

Dromsk plant pot, €7

Our homes have become even more central to our wellbeing recently, and so this collection is focused on making it a space where you can recharge and disconnect when needed.

Clotilde Passalacqua, interior design manager at Ikea, explains, “Mixing rich, deep blues with cooler hues, along with hints of grey and black will help establish a serene atmosphere. Lighter shades of blue bring a calm and relaxed vibe aiding sleep and rest, brighter blue tones an energising quality, whilst darker hues give off a sense of reliability instilling an aura of comfort and security.”

Mys and Festivities

Nordviken extendable table, €299

The colder months mean a lead up to festive celebrations, and many of us are looking forward to hopefully being able to gather with family once again. The Swedish term Mys means a focus on comfort, relaxation, feasting and slowing down – encouraging people to take time away from the outside world to recalibrate and re-energise.

This collection is full of pieces that would be perfect for a gathering, but will equally enrich more ordinary mealtimes and evenings in.
