Barbie’s pink Malibu DreamHouse is back on Airbnb, this time with Ken on hosting duties. Giving the public the chance to stay at his Kendom, Warner Bros has partnered with Airbnb to open up this incredible property for two one-night sleepovers this July.
She’s Barbie and he’s just Ken… but he’s Ken with a life-size Malibu DreamHouse, which, admittedly, changes things slightly. So, come on, Barbie, let’s go party.
Idyllically located above the beach with panoramic views of the horizon, this life-sized toy mansion is a sunny surfer’s sanctuary surrounded by beach, beach and more beach.
Hot pink and very Barbie all over, Ken has put his own flair on things so as to bring some “much-needed Kenergy” to the place. Said changes include adding a workout area, incorporating some cowboy/equine decor into the interiors and ensuring there’s a light-up rollerskating area too.
To the back, you’ll find an incredible infinity pool with floating lilos spelling out Ken’s name, a cosy firepit area complete with telescope, a well-stocked BBQ and an outdoor dancefloor (with a disco ball, obviously).
Inside, saloon-style doors lead to the master bedroom.
Cowboy hats hang above the bed with animal skin rugs, leather throw pillows and a life-sized plastic horse adding to the very Western vibe. The wardrobe has also been fully stocked with Ken-approved outfits and a guitar so feel free to play dress up or invite your friends around for a singsong.

I’ve added a few touches to bring some much-needed Kenergy to the newly renovated and iconic Malibu DreamHouse. Placed perfectly above the beach with panoramic views, this life-size toy pink mansion is a dream come true!”
“We all have dreams, and Barbie is lucky enough to have a house full of them,” says Ken. “But now, it’s my turn, and I can’t wait to host guests inside these one-of-a-kind – dare I say, one-of-a-Ken? – digs.”
Even Chrissy Teigen and husband John Legend are fans, staying at the house this weekend and making us all incredibly jealous in the process.
Once you arrive and check in, the concierge will ensure a comfortable stay for you and your guest – including showing you around and setting out and arranging meals. After that, it’s up to you how you entertain yourself… though a cinema trip to see Greta Gerwig’s feature film adaption of the story would definitely be most apt.
Featuring one of the most star-studded casts we’ve seen in a long time, Margot Robbie steps into a pair of six-inch stilettos as Barbie herself with Ryan Gosling playing her adoring boyfriend, Ken. Other big names associated with the project include Dua Lipa, Nicola Coughlan, Will Ferrell, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey and Michael Cera amongst others. Literally counting down the seconds until this one opens in Irish cinemas.
Booking opens at 10 a.m. PT (or 6pm Irish time) on Monday, July 17 for two, one-night stays for up to two guests on July 21 and July 22, 2023. This is not a competition and guests will be responsible for their own travel to and from Malibu. Full details here.
