Royal Kill List: The Warrant Series 1, Sky History/NOW
Royal Kill List looks back at one of the most seismic events in British royal history; when a British monarch was publicly executed for the first and only time. On January 30, 1649, King Charles I was publicly executed having been tried and convicted of treason by Parliament. This heralded 10 years of Britain as a republic before, in May 1660, the monarchy was restored with the accession of King Charles II. Told through dramatic reconstruction, with actors serving as primary storytellers, this new mini-series plays out as a Jacobean tragedy detailing the king’s lifelong obsession with revenge.

Filmed on location in Co Wicklow, it seems Ms. Lohan was so smitten with Ireland that she “didn’t want to leave”.
