Sound the alarm! Lizzo and Chris Evans are flirting online again

Unless you’ve been hiding under a rock or boycotting your phone in a rage against your growing screen time, it’s likely you’ve heard something about Lizzo and Chris Evans by now. The only couple other than Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez to capture our attention, it’s a romance we’re all thoroughly invested in… and there have been some pretty interesting developments in the story recently. 

But just to catch you up to speed, basically, the whole thing came to be after Lizzo slid into Chris’ Instagram DMs. Subsequently making a TikTok about the exchange, the singer shared a screenshot of her message to the Avengers star which consisted of three carefully chosen emojis; a gust of wind, a female athlete and a basketball… all hinting that this was Lizzo shooting her shot. 

Overlaying the screenshot with an audio clip from Tatayanna Mitchell, Lizzo can be seen mouthing the words, “The reason I’m upset about this one is because I know I’m not going to be able to marry him. And honestly, it hurts me to the core. Because, damn papa, he a rare breed, no comparing. Like, Chris…”

Joking that you shouldn’t “drink and DM”, Lizzo’s regret seemed short-lived, especially given her reaction to Chris’ response which read, “No shame in a drunk DM, God knows I’ve sent worse on this app lol.” The actor accidentally leaked an x-rated photo of himself last year,  lest you forget.

Anyways, that was back in April. Fast forward a few months to present day and the duo has upped their PDF (public display of flirtation) even more. Asked to confirm or deny the rumours that she is pregnant with Captain America’s baby, Lizzo replied to a fan saying, “This is something that I’ve been really trying to keep personal and private between me and the father of my child, but since we’re airing out all the rumours today, I’ve been sucking in. We’re gonna have a little America.” 

Quick to get in on the joke himself too, Evans messaged the Good As Hell singer to say that his mother “will be so happy” at the news. Join the club Mrs Evans! 

The rumours about Lizzo being with child may be fictitious but there’s no denying that the twosome definitely has chemistry though… so perhaps they should “just date already” as The Cut put it.
