Cara Delevingne is the latest celebrity to open her home to Architectural Digest, and it’s a maximalist dream house, or as she puts it, “an adult playhouse.”
Cara Delevingne worked with architect Nicolò Bini to create some of wilder details, of which there are many; there’s Gucci heron printed wallpaper everywhere, snake carpets, a Bowie-inspired bathroom, a red and white striped ball pit, a flaming red poker room complete with a Santa Monica Pier Wheel of Fortune, a Chemical X bull’s-eye sculpture made of Ecstasy pills in acrylic and a see-through piano.
“This kind of feels like my Playboy mansion,” says Cara, and it looks like it too – especially when you get to the fully carpeted pink room with a stripper pole, swing, mirrored ceilings and, uh, wrist and ankle restraints. There’s also a secret passageway called a ‘vagina tunnel’ in the living room (you exit through a washing machine door into a guest bedroom), beside the fireplace, where Cara Delevingne tells AD in her video home tour, “I come in here to think, I come in here to create — I feel inspired in the vagina tunnel.”
